Working experience:

Our candidate is an intelligent, well educated and broadly developed management professional in the international horticultural sector. He functioned as well in a wide variety of production based management positions, as in general management positions. He is able to think and act with a short term as well as a longer term focus and with a narrow or broad scope of the situation. He also likes to think in structures but without becoming too theoretical. In Africa this meant the set up of simple working structures which functioned very well.

His inventiveness, flexibility and improvisational skills have proven to be very useful during his years in Africa. He is looking for a position in General (Farm or commercial) management, or a position like Business Manager, Manager New Business or Business Development.

Personality:

Our candidate is a friendly, intelligent and well educated personality. He is a good listener and a fast thinker with a broad interest and conversation. He created with us the impression of being a man with integrity.

He is a creative and inventive man who knows how to make something out of nothing; a skill which comes in very useful in cultures like in Africa. Our candidate tends to have a somewhat impatient character and will function best in managerially challenging situations and with challenging objectives. He is a good change-agent in a multi-cultural setting.

In the context of a group, like e.g. a management team, he will show especially the characteristics and take the role of ‘driver-pioneer-chairman’, coupled with the role of ‘organiser’ and ‘market scout’. Less prominent will be his role as ‘finisher’ and ‘teamworker’ .
