Working experience:
Our candidate has a background in agriculture and has worked and studied in this area until recently. He started his career working for 7 years as a coordinator at an accountants and advisers office dealing specifically with clients in the agricultural industry. By doing this he has gained a lot of experience in research and finding solutions for agricultural companies. On taking his position in Ethiopia early 2006, he made a slight shift in the type of industry he was working but found in this role the opportunity to put his previous experience into practice, being responsible for the whole production process.
2006 - present Function: Production Manager, Ethiopia
Company: Producer of parental material for annuals and pot plants
Responsibilities:
• Daily management of production staff – 250 to 300 employees
• Management of picking, propagation and packing of rooted and un-rooted cuttings
• Planning, propagation and development of the source plants
• Logistical planning and export
• Setting up and maintaining production database
• Responsible for the quality system.

Description of the new challenge:
Our candidate is looking for a new management opportunity as he needs a new challenge. This is coinciding with his current contract reaching its end, so he is ready to move. He would like to find a position in agriculture or horticulture, preferably in a country which is English speaking.
