Working experience:
Our candidate is an all-round, hands on vegetable grower. Since graduating from horticultural
college he has worked in the family business, initially as a trainee, working in all aspects of the
business and subsequently from 1999, as co-owner of the business. The nursery has 10
hectares of Chicory crops, 1 hectare of other outdoor crops and 1 hectare of greenhouse
growing. The crops they grow are cucumber, lettuce, chicory, radish, herbs etc. In 1999 they
renewed the greenhouse brought it to Eurogap/Globalgap standards under our candidates’
supervision.

Personality:
Our candidate is a serious, honest ‘green fingered’ grower and vegetable specialist, who is a perfectionist in his work.
He is a friendly person with a good sense of humour and can be direct in his manner of dealing with people. He loves his work and is committed to working long hours, but he also enjoys spending time with his family and has a good balance between work and home life.
Description of the new challenge:
The local city council are planning to build houses where the candidates’ nursery is situated so he has an opportunity to sell up and go for a new challenge. He would like to find a greenhouse grower position in a country where English is spoken, growing cucumber, tomato, sweet pepper or other vegetables.
